Companies specializing in immigration advice report an increase in demand after the election, on Sunday (2).
Wagner Pontes, CEO of D4U Immigration, says that when he arrived at work on Monday (3), his company’s email box was full of messages from people asking for information on how to leave Brazil. According to him, the number of questions, which usually hovers around 200 after weekends, rose to 650.
The most popular destinations are the United States, especially in the region of Florida, Portugal, Spain, France and Canada.
The movement was already accelerating, according to him. In the last month, consultations have risen, on average, 50%. Pontes says that the agency does not question the specific motivation of its clients to leave the country, but the search for information heated up in the electoral calendar.
At AG Immigration, Rodrigo Costa, CEO of the advisory, says that economic and political factors boosted expatriation services for new clients throughout the year.
Diana Quintas, Fragomen’s partner in Brazil, says that, in the first half, the company recorded a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2021. And the projection is to end the year with customers keeping an eye not only on domestic uncertainties, but also in recruiting talent outside Brazil and in making new visas more flexible.
