Appointed as one of the leaders of the Trust Investing network, musician and businessman Patrick Abrahão, husband of singer Perlla, was arrested this Wednesday morning at his home, located in a luxury condominium in the west of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the investigation, the group used social networks as the main platform to attract new investors and had the support of a religious entity belonging to one of the leaders to attract investors. The scheme would have started in 2019 and would still be in operation.

Patrick flaunted a life of luxury for his millions of followers on social media, alongside luxury sports cars and in coveted tourist spots such as Dubai, Cancun and some European countries.

The group that operated in Brazil claimed to be a partner in two legalized financial institutions in Estonia, but investigations proved that the companies did not exist.
