Panel SA: Coffee shop chain The Coffee enters electoral discussion on social networks

by

The coffee chain The Coffee had to publish on its Instagram in the early hours of Saturday (22) a note through which it positions itself as “exempt from political positioning”.

The publication was an attempt to calm the spirits of social networks after images of publications that would have been made by one of the founders of the network, Alexandre Fertonani, circulated on his personal profile on Instagram.

The prints circulated on Twitter and expressed cursing at the former president and candidate in this year’s elections Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and criticism of the PT and the left. After publication, Fertonani’s profile became restricted.

On the cafeteria’s social networks, customers were still criticizing in comments on publications. The positioning of the network was made in Stories, publications that are on the air for only 24 hours.

In the text, the company says that “the opinion of people involved with us does not reflect the brand’s position.” It also supports democracy and respects the “diversity of thought of our employees, franchisees and customers”.
