Caixa Econômica Federal resumed, on the morning of this Monday (24), the payroll loan requests for beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil in all service channels. The service had been suspended since 6 pm last Friday (21), during which scheduled maintenance was carried out on the bank’s system and technology company Dataprev.
After overloading the system and an explosion of access to Caixa Tem, beneficiaries complained on Friday (21) that loan applications were cancelled. On social media there are also reports of unauthorized sales of insurance and delays in payment after credit approval.
On Friday, the bank said that families who were denied the grant will be able to re-apply. In some cases, it is necessary to go to the bank in person to resolve pending issues.
The first ten days of credit release to the low-income population were marked by complaints about canceled loans, difficulty and delay in releasing the money, charging unexpected fees and tying.
According to Caixa, between October 11 and 20, the Caixa Tem app received 206 million hits. In the same period in September, there were 25 million.
In a note, the bank also explained that it received a much higher volume of hits than planned.
“In numerical volume, it is as if almost the entire population of Brazil had interacted with the bank in just ten days. Even so, approximately 80% of all requests made have already been completed”, said the bank.
THOSE WHO HAD CANCELED CREDIT WILL BE ABLE TO RE-ORDER, SAYS BOX
According to Caixa, customers who have not had their order processed will be able to redo the request through the application.
On Thursday (20), the bank sent communications to customers through the Caixa Tem app. Anyone who had the contract automatically suspended can redo it through the app following the same process. Those who have a pending issue that needs to be regularized were advised to look for a lottery or Caixa branch.
On the morning of last Friday, the vice president of Caixa’s Retail Network, Júlio César Volpp Sierra, stated, during an event for the breast cancer prevention campaign, that the bank is making technological implementations to support the system and be able to serve customers.
“We are processing the credits and seeking normalization to be able to make the credit for all people”, he said.
