INSS agencies do not open this Friday (28)

The INSS (National Institute of Social Security) agencies across the country will be closed this Friday (28), due to the commemoration of Public Servant Day.

The units will reopen on Monday (31), but service will be interrupted again on Wednesday (2), a holiday for the dead.

Some Brazilian states postponed the optional point to November 14, the eve of the Proclamation of the Republic holiday. But as INSS employees are federal servants, they follow the calendar defined by the Union, which kept the date.

According to the INSS, Central 135 will operate at normal hours this Friday. The insured can also use electronic service means.

However, the call center will not work on November 2nd, as it is a national holiday, different from Server Day, which is considered an optional point.

On holiday, only electronic service channels will be available, that is, the Meu INSS website and application. The platform brings together more than one hundred types of service in a single environment.

REMOTE SERVICE CHANNELS

Through the 135 electronic service, it is possible to obtain information about the benefit, know the time when the next service was scheduled at the branch or even obtain information about payment.

Calls to 135 are free from a landline. Those who use the cell phone only pay the value of a local call.

Also according to the INSS, cell phone calls will no longer be charged. The beginning of the gratuity is delayed, as the service became mandatory since September 2021, when the federal government recognized 135 as a public utility service.

Through Meu INSS it is possible to schedule a medical examination, issue extracts of contributions, consult the results of benefit requests and simulate the time left for retirement.

Among the services most sought after by policyholders are requesting payment and loan statements and consulting benefits.
