Panel SA: Localiza businessman from Minas Gerais donates again to Tarcísio’s campaign in SP

The Minas Gerais businessman Salim Mattar, founder of Localiza, made a new donation of R$ 300 thousand to the campaign of the candidate for the government of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). The donation record appears in the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) data on the 14th.

Mattar had already donated BRL 500,000 to Tarcísio’s campaign registered on the 10th.

Supporter of Bolsonaro (PL) since 2018 and secretary of Privatization of the current government until mid-2020, Mattar also donated BRL 1.8 million to the Bolsonarista reelection campaign.

He is the third largest individual donor in this election, with R$ 6.1 million. Two of his partners at Localiza, Antonio Claudio Brandão Resende and Flávio Brandão Resende, also donated R$1.2 million to Bolsonaro’s campaign on the 10th.
