Airports have normal operation on the fourth day of coup acts

Airports across the country have resumed the normal pace of operation this Thursday (3), while the coup acts that do not recognize the result of the elections and ask for military intervention continue for the fourth day, already in smaller numbers.

In Guarulhos (in Greater São Paulo), three flights were canceled until early afternoon, according to the concessionaire that manages the airport.

Several cancellations had already been registered between Monday (31st) and Tuesday (1st).

Viracopos, in Campinas, had seven canceled flights among those scheduled for this Thursday (3) until 1 pm, according to the panel on the airport’s website. According to the press office, the blockade on the access avenue to the site was undone on Tuesday night (1st), with no effect on this morning’s operation.

The network of 55 airports operated by Infraero, which includes Congonhas, in São Paulo, had registered, at 12:20 pm this Thursday (3), 26 flights were delayed and 12 were cancelled. The numbers represent 5.6% and 2.6% of the total operation.

In Santa Catarina, one of the states that still lead in the number of demonstrations, the operation of the Navegantes International Airport takes place normally, according to the press office.

Gol, Azul and Latam say in a note that there is no impact of the blocks on operations this Thursday (3).

Airlines recommend that passengers try to arrive at the airport of departure in advance and that they check the flight status on their websites.
