The general strike called by Bolsonaristas this Monday (7) had stoppages located in the South and Midwest of the country, fake news about a company that would have joined and the use of videos of acts of September 7. The call, which asked for businessmen to join, had the air of a lockout (company strike, currently prohibited by law).

The Public Ministry of Labor also investigates complaints from employees who are being pressured to participate in anti-democratic demonstrations.

In the state of São Paulo, there was no closure of industries or stores that have been notified to Ciesp (Center of Industries of the State of São Paulo), to Fiesp (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo) or to FecomércioSP, as informed by the entities to the report this Monday afternoon.

Food giant Aurora, from Chapecó (SC), said it was the target of fake news. Videos and messages on WhatsApp and Telegram groups stated that the food cooperative would paralyze its units this Monday, which was denied by the company, which operated normally.

“All agricultural, industrial, commercial units, logistics centers and support sectors are operating normally. Transport logistics continues to meet the demands in all regions where the company operates”, he said, in a note.

The company says it respects the movement “supported by the constitutional principle of freedom of expression and has demonstrated its peaceful and orderly character”. In addition, he hopes that “in the name of social peace, all the issues that emerged in this post-election period will be addressed through dialogue and respect between citizens-demonstrators and the Powers of the Republic”, he informed.

The Famasul System, which integrates the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Mato Grosso do Sul, based in Campo Grande (MS), did not have a working day this Monday (7th). According to a statement published on their social networks, the strike is in support of the “peaceful and orderly” demonstrations that are being carried out by Brazil.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the suspension of Famasul activities was confirmed by the reception of the entity, which informed the report that there was no employee working at the site on Monday. THE Sheet was unable to contact the person responsible for the entity for more details about the act until the publication of this text.

Famasul is part of the CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil), Senar (National Service for Rural Learning), in addition to bringing together 69 rural unions and Aprosoja (Association of Soy and Corn Producers of MS).

In a note published on the entity’s website, on November 2, Famasul talks about “rescuing and strengthening the values of the family and of a more sovereign and independent Brazil”, reinforcing not to give up the “right to property, freedom, free expression , economic and social growth of the country”.

In the southern states, however, no stoppage or impact was confirmed by industry and agricultural federations consulted by the report.

In Rondonópolis (MT), the president of Acir (Commercial and Industrial Association), Renato Del Cistia, estimates that 70% of the city’s companies have closed or are working on a shift basis. According to him, this is a personal perception, and includes companies in the field of commerce, industry, agribusiness and the service sector.

“The trade association cannot, by statute, support or encourage the closing of any company. But Rondonópolis certainly supports this movement. We are a city in the interior and companies and entrepreneurs support the movement”, says Del Cistia.

According to Del Cistia, on Monday morning, there was a motorcade in support of the protesters. The movement is concentrated in front of the 18th GAC (Group of Field Artillery), of the Brazilian Army.

Truckers say they did not join the strike call

Leaders of self-employed truck drivers reported that the category did not participate in this Monday’s mobilization and that the flow on the highways was normal. “Within the truck drivers category, it was the large companies that were present [nos atos iniciados após o resultado das eleições presidenciais]. Carriers and big businessmen. The self-driving truck driver who was on the highways got stuck [nos bloqueios]”, says Carlos Alberto Litti Dahmer, director of CNTTL (National Confederation of Transport and Logistics Workers).

In the late afternoon, Santa Catarina had the last roadblock released after a confrontation with the police and most states had free roads. In Pará, protesters attacked the PRF (Federal Highway Police) with shots and stones as police tried to unblock the stretch of highway, one of the last points of interdiction in the country. On Monday night, there were obstructions on federal highways in four states: Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Pará and Paraná.

MPT received complaints from employees pressured to participate in acts

The MPT (Ministry of Labor) reported that it is following up on complaints from employees who are being pressured to participate in anti-democratic demonstrations, which is illegal. “If the employer takes the initiative to close the deal, the worker is entitled to a working day”, stated Adriane Reis de Araújo, national coordinator for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities at the MPT.

The agency also monitors cases of electoral harassment registered after the end of the elections and reinforces that dismissing, removing or punishing the employee for political disagreement is considered discriminatory conduct, which can have consequences in the labor sphere, without prejudice to other penalties.

If the company wants to dismiss its employees on the day of an act, for example, it can, but cannot force them to participate in any actions.
