AADE: A DOU for every citizen, based on Postal Code – See where you belong

Another innovation from the AADE, which is launching a new system that will determine the DOU based on the taxpayer’s Postal Code.

According to the decision of the Governor of AADE Giorgos Pitsilis, for the redefinition of the territorial competence of all the Public Economic Services (PSO), the assignment of a Postal Code (ZP) to a unique PSO is defined, improving the service of the services provided to the citizens.

By redefining the competence of the DOU, the necessary infrastructure is created so that the new digital services ensure the automatic selection of the competent DOU based on the Taxpayer’s Address and Tax ID. In this way, the taxpayers, regardless of their region’s tax code, are served by the DOU of the Regional Unit to which they belong, based on the Kallikratis Program Law 3852/2010 (A87).

Also, by arranging the correct details of the headquarters in the correct county and municipality, it is ensured that the use of the Single Digital Portal will register the start in GEMI and this in turn in the corresponding Chamber of Commerce, bearing in mind the correct county.

It is pointed out that a TK belongs uniquely to one DOU. Excluded are the cases where the TK according to ELTA belongs to two different Regional Units, in which case each region falls under the competence of the DOU of the relevant Regional Unit.
The new system will be implemented from Monday

The automatic selection of the competent DOU based on the Address and the TK, opens the gates of an advanced hybrid digital citizen service infrastructure.

The assignment of a TK to a unique DOU nationwide will begin on Monday, November 14, 2022 for taxpayers, natural or legal persons and legal entities that will obtain a VAT number, as well as for those that will start operations.

It is pointed out that, from November 18 to 21, 2022, the competent Services of AADE will transfer the taxpayers to the new DOU to which they will be subject, for the areas where there are no exceptions, while from December 16 to 19, 2022, a transfer will take place, for the areas where there are exceptions, according to the attached Redistribution Tables.
