INSS contest has confusion in Guarulhos, but will not be canceled

The tests for the INSS (National Social Security Institute) contest, held this Sunday (27) across the country, will not be cancelled, according to Cebraspe, organizer of the selection.

Only candidates running for executive management at the INSS in Guarulhos had the test canceled and will have to take the exam on another date, he said in a note.

Sunday was marked by reports of confusion and delays at the UNG (University of Guarulhos) building.

According to Cebraspe, the flaws did not compromise the fairness of the selection process and the test was applied normally in the other 116 cities, in a total of 1,592 locations.

In a note released on the selection website, the company states that the competition is segmented by executive management, “so that what happened does not compromise the continuity of the competition for candidates who compete for other executive managements, with the tests applied to these candidates being maintained “.

On the internet, candidates complain about the negligence of the organizers. One of the posts says that the wait was more than 2 hours – the test was scheduled to start at 1 pm on Sunday.

In another, one of the students says that at least 300 people were without a room. A video that accompanies the post shows a full amphitheater — students ask for answers and for the selection process to be canceled. Another recording shows the moment when the candidates were informed of the cancellation of the test.

The holding of the INSS contest was marked by a sequence of failures, such as the delay in disclosing the test sites after problems in the distribution of test sites. The demand to register was so great that the organizer’s website went down and it was necessary to extend the registration period for one more day. On Twitter, candidates also reported difficulty in registering due to problems recovering the password, making a new registration or submitting the exemption request.

This is the third year that Cebraspe (formerly Cespe/UnB) organizes the selection process, which in 2022 has a thousand vacancies and more than one million applicants. In total, 6,948 candidates are from the city of Guarulhos and compete for seven vacancies.

In an announcement, Cebraspe asked candidates to arrive at least 1 hour in advance, but there were protests for delays in several places. Complaints on social networks range from 10 to 45 minutes delay for the start of the test.

Candidates still complained about full rooms, lack of infrastructure and lack of supervision.

The test also spawned memes. Those who managed to take the exam joked about the difficulty of the questions and the large number of questions condensed into a few pages. The exam had 120 questions, 50 of which were basic knowledge and 70 were specific knowledge. Candidates still had to answer two discursive questions.

For Fernanda Helene, a lawyer specializing in social security law and professor at AlfaCon, the content of the test was faithful to the announcement and about 20% of the questions had a high level of complexity. The preliminary feedback should be released this Tuesday (29), from 19h.
