Cosmetics maker Natura&Co said this Wednesday (30th) that it is considering selling a minority stake in its Aesop brand, but it points out that the process is still in the early stages of consultations and no decision has been taken.
Natura&Co said in a statement that a final decision will be taken by its board of directors after the final evaluation of several alternatives under study, not ruling out a potential initial public offering (IPO) or spin-off of the unit.
The company first announced in October that it had begun studying a possible spinoff or IPO of Aesop in the United States.
Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing sources, that Natura&Co is working with Bank of America and Morgan Stanley on a stake sale in Aesop.
