Panel SA: Folha promotes an event to discuss the future of advertising

THE Sheet brings together, this Friday (16), some of the main names in advertising and journalism to discuss the future of advertising in communication vehicles in the digital age.

The “2023 Folha Advertising Convention” is a closed event and will take place at the newspaper’s headquarters in São Paulo. It will feature the special participation of Earl Wilkinson, president of INMA (International News Media Association), the largest association in the news industry, which brings together 900 information groups in 84 countries. THE Sheet is one of them.

The meeting begins at 8 am with a welcome from Carlos Ponce De Leon, superintendent of the Sheetand a presentation by the Commercial Executive Director, Marcelo Benez.

Next, Nizan Guanaes, founder of N Ideias, will talk about the future of advertising.

The editorial director of SheetSérgio Dávila, will then give a lecture on the importance of professional journalism.

Afterwards, Earl Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA, will present an overview of newspapers in the world. The executive spends more than 200 days a year traveling across continents to map what is happening in the main communication groups.

Part of their job is to share case studies and best experiences with media outlets —in relation to advertising, subscriptions, audiences, among other aspects of journalistic activity.

In the second part, Vaguinaldo Marinheiro (director of Estúdio Folha), Artur Siviero, João Gabriel Junqueira, Manuela Nunes and Hiram Baroli (commercial managers) discuss the power of brands, trends in digital advertising, ways to transform advertising and perspectives for multiplatforms.
