Bank agencies will operate normally this Friday (23), the day before Christmas, according to Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks). On the 30th, bank service posts will remain closed.

Febraban recommends the use of electronic service channels, such as apps, internet and ATMs, during holidays. Accounts due on the 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st of December, in addition to the 1st of January, may be paid on the business day following the holidays.

On the 2nd of January, the banks will resume normal service to the public.

Febraban recalls that customers can also schedule payments for consumption bills or pay them at the ATMs themselves, if they have a bar code. Bank slips can be scheduled or paid through DDA (Authorized Direct Debit).

The INSS (National Social Security Institute) service posts will operate normally on the 23rd and throughout the week leading up to the New Year, including the 30th.

On the 24th and 31st of December, there will be changes in the service provided by attendants at Central 135, which will take place from 7 am to 4 pm. On other days of the week, human service is available between 7am and 10pm. On December 25th and January 1st, this type of service will not take place.

The INSS points out that the electronic service works 24 hours a day, including on holidays. The insured can obtain information about benefits, find out the time at which the service at the agency was scheduled or even obtain payment information.

Users can resort to the Meu INSS service, which is available both through an application and over the internet.

The shopping centers will open extended hours this Friday (23) and will also open on Saturday (24). Street trade and supermarkets will operate normally this Friday, with variations depending on the location and stores, and will also open on Christmas Eve, at special times.
