With technology as an ally, AADE is preparing for 2023 an extended tax audit blitzkrieg.
The adamant against the fight against tax evasion has been given an order by the leadership of the service to carry out:
25,500 full and partial checks
2,500 checks for the fulfillment or not of annual obligations related to capital taxation
900 tax evasion investigations
15,500 targeted spot checks. AADE employees, equipped with special tablets, will be able to have an image of the complete tax profile of the company or self-employed person they will check and access to all the data that is passed to Taxisnet.
With their tablets, AADE employees will also be able to check:
-The authenticity of receipts issued by cash registers. For this purpose, the service has also supplied them with special QR Scanners.
– If the details of the receipts issued to AADE are transmitted
and make the necessary cross-checks based on the results of which they will also be able to confirm on the spot the prescribed fines and impose the necessary sanctions whenever they find turnover concealment or non-payment of VAT.
The emphasis of tax audits will be on cases of real estate purchases, parental benefits and inheritances and donations that are considered to be at high risk of being linked to the flow of black money. According to the orders that have been given from all the cases to be audited, at least 70% will concern tax years, uses, cases, periods or obligations of the last five years. A partial percentage of 75% of the audits will, in principle, concern audits of the last three years for which the deadline for submitting an income tax return has expired.
Especially for capital taxation, priority will be given to the cases of 2017 for which the deadline for the Tax Administration to issue a corrective assessment of the tax expires on 3/12/2023. These cases concern real estate which is not part of the system of objective values and the temporary value overestimation made by the D.O.Y. has not been accepted by the taxpayer. while the difference between the declared value and the overestimation exceeds 30% or the value of the overestimation exceeds 100,000 euros.
The 900 investigations of major tax evasion that will be conducted have to do with:
with 170 cases of intra-Community VAT fraud
with 100 cases in which new information or data will be exploited
50 e-commerce cases
580 cases of potential tax evasion related to bank account opening, processing of seized data and files, circuits of issuing and receiving fictitious tax data, processing of digital files.
