This week, Idis (Institute for the Development of Social Investment) released a ranking to record the peak of the wave of donations made by large companies in the country during the first year of the pandemic, which reached the largest volume of resources distributed by the private sector.
The survey shows that ten large Brazilian companies invested nearly R$5.4 billion in social actions last year. The estimate for 2021 is a lower volume.
Itaú, the only Brazilian to appear on the global list, was ranked 1st in the country, with R$1.8 billion for the purchase of masks and hospital equipment, in addition to educational and cultural initiatives. Next, appear Vale, with more than BRL 1 billion, and Bradesco, with almost BRL 950 million.
