Travel expert Simon Calder has an advice for those traveling to the US during US President Donald Trump’s term.

One of the dozens of executive decrees signed by the US president at the beginning of his second term reinforced security checks for travelers arriving in the country, Sky News notes

British -headed to the US may undergo larger security checks and cases have been reported where more people are not allowed to enter, social media checks and high profile deportations.

Calder has a tip for those who are worried: fly via Ireland.

Passengers to the US headed through Dublin and Shannon airports are “pre -selected” by officials.

After check-in in the usual way and undergo a security and a separate enhanced inspection, Calder says travelers are being examined in what is “essentially the US border”.

This means that all problems are addressed and overcome there, instead of landing.

Calder points out that when you land, they treat you as an American, without waiting and without high queues.
