BTG Pactual started arbitration proceedings in São Paulo against Americanas for breach of credit agreement, a source with knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Tuesday (17).
The arbitration, at the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, alleges that the payment of the credit with investments held by the shopkeeper in the bank was included in the loan agreement.
BTG also intends to file a new appeal against the injunction that protects Americanas from creditors, the source said.
