Ministers Fernando Haddad (Finance) and Marina Silva (Environment) were chosen by the Lula government to represent Brazil at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, which ends this Friday (20). The duo took the message to the international public that Brazilian democracy resisted the attacks in Brasília and that the country will combine economic growth with the environmental agenda.
Haddad also spoke of the new fiscal framework that should replace the spending ceiling and the tax reform proposed by the government – part of which the minister wants to approve in the first half of this year.
In this Friday’s episode, Café da Manhã talks with Luciana Coelho, assistant secretary of the Sheet, who went to Switzerland to attend the Forum. She analyzes Brazil’s participation in Davos, the international community’s reactions to the country’s messages at the event and how the environment theme was treated.
