Panel SA: Josué receives new support in defense of his permanence at Fiesp

by

After the assembly that voted for the removal of Josué Gomes da Silva from the Fiesp presidency, the businessman received new support in defense of his permanence in charge of the entity.

In addition to Ricardo Patah, president of UGT, and Juruna, secretary general of Força, other union leaders adhered to a manifesto of solidarity to Josué organized by members of the committee responsible for the act in defense of democracy last year.

The new signatures include Miguel Torres, president Força Sindical, Antonio Neto (CSB), Adilson Araújo (CTB), and Moacyr Tesch (NCST). CUT did not sign. When he assumed the presidency of Fiesp, at the beginning of last year, Josué opened a rapprochement movement, scheduling meetings with workers’ representatives, a dialogue that had been frozen in the last years of Paulo Skaf’s management.

In addition to the centrals, the president of Fiesp also received support from the federation’s Superior Economic Council.

“Political preferences, since there are no minimally founded reasons for dismissal, do not find support in Fiesp’s statutes. It is a ruse with which we do not condone”, wrote the council in a statement.

Conflicts at Fiesp, led by a group of unions opposed to Josué, surfaced in the middle of last year, when the president of Fiesp involved the name of the entity in acts in defense of democracy to react to the escalation of former president Bolsonaro against the polls.
