With the issuance of the Official Gazette for the market pass, every question regarding the six-month subsidy of 10% of purchases made by each household in supermarkets, grocers, butchers, patisseries, bakeries, dairy shops, street markets and other food shops has been resolved.

The platform as informed by the ministry of digital reform will make its appearance shortly after mid-February and will remain open until March 15.

Those who apply for a digital immaterial card in February (that is, until the 28th) will receive the aid for the first 2 months, February and March, until March 3rd. If the application is made in March, then the card will be credited until March 20. For the remaining 4 months (April – July), the credit to the beneficiaries via immaterial card will be done within the first 3 working days of each month.

After each credit (and also in the case of failure) the beneficiary will be notified by e-mail to the address he has entered in his application.

Those who prefer cash in their account (which will be 20% less) and apply in February, will receive the money for the first 3 months (February, March, April) until March 3rd. If the declaration is made in March, the money will be credited by March 20. The amount for the next 3 months (May, June, July) will be credited until May 3rd.

It is allowed to change details and to change the payment method until February 28 for those who have submitted an initial application in February and until March 15 for March applications. After March 15, no changes can be made to the applications.

With the digital immaterial card, purchases can only be made in supermarkets and food stores. On the contrary, there is no restriction on what can be spent on the money that will enter the beneficiary’s bank account.

If the owner of the physical card has not redeemed all the money by the end of August, then it is lost, which is obviously not the case for money credited to bank accounts. Also, the money on the card cannot be transferred to a third party (another person can, however, use the same card if the beneficiary gives him his mobile phone) and they cannot be withdrawn either.

The application for the aid given at household level and not at individual level can also be done through KEP. Market Pass excludes those who:

  • They were declared on the tax return as dependents or guests
  • Those who pay luxury living tax
  • Foreign tax residents
  • Those who had not submitted a tax return by 31/12/2022
