The EFKA representative explained how those who have submitted a request for retirement before June 2022 will receive the lump sum by March 15 without having to apply
There are 83,000 pensioners, who have received the main pension and are waiting for the supplementary one, EFKA press representative Omiros Tsapalos explained to SKAI 100.3, regarding the retroactive payment of 100 euros per month for each month of delay in granting the supplementary pension, announced yesterday on our station by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis.
Mr. Tsapalos explained how those who have submitted a request for retirement before June 2022 will receive the lump sum until March 15 without having to apply. The money will be credited directly to their accounts. He clarified that the 100 euros retroactively per month will be given for supplementary allowances due to old age and 50 euros for supplementary allowances due to disability.
The EFKA press representative estimated that it will be issued by the end of February the final supplementary pension for 40,000 pensioners, and the rest will receive the lump sum until March 15.
Referring to the personal difference and pension increases, he noted that the personal difference concerns about 900,000 pensioners of which 140,000 did not see any change in their pension either from the abolition of the solidarity contribution, nor did they receive the 250 euro allowance given before the Christmas and explained that it is looking at how this category of pensioners can be strengthened before the Easter holidays. Mr. Tsapalos noted, however, that they will know more after February 15, when the budget data will be known.
