Allowance for those pensioners who have personal difference – Third circle of accuracy check
The government activates a triple intervention for pensioners. The first – and most important – intervention concerns the granting of an advance payment for the pending supplementary pensions due to old age, disability or death. The measure concerns insured persons who have submitted an application before July 1, 2022 and for whom a main pension decision has been issued.
Especially for supplementary old-age pensions, the applicant must have completed at least 15 years of supplementary insurance. The advance will be granted until March 15, 2023 – without requiring any action on the part of the beneficiary – and will be equal to 100 euros for each month of delay in issuing the supplementary pension, for supplementary old-age pensions. The advance payment will be less than €50 for supplementary disability pensions, as well as for the surviving spouse requesting a supplementary death pension.
For example:
-A pensioner who received the main pension in June 2016 will retroactively receive 8,000 euros.
-A pensioner who received the main pension in February 2019 will retroactively receive 4,800 euros.
-A pensioner who received the main pension in July 2020 will retroactively receive 3,000 euros.
-A pensioner who received the main pension in May 2021 will retroactively receive 2,100 euros.
Allowance for those pensioners who have a personal difference
The government is considering for the “lost” pensioners of the increases, i.e. those who had a personal difference and did not see a real increase, to be given an extraordinary allowance of around 300-400 euros once, before Easter.
The scenarios under consideration are two: First, to give an amount horizontally to everyone. The second scenario envisages the amount to be staggered, i.e. to change according to the pensioner’s personal difference, as those excluded from the increases due to personal difference include low pensioners as well as high pensioners.
Third round of accuracy check
A new round of precision checks, as officials of the economic staff and the Ministry of Labor report to MR, is considered a “locked” measure and so before Easter an amount close to 300 euros is expected to be given to vulnerable households with the same characteristics as the checks that were given last Christmas and Easter, i.e. to low-pensioners, uninsured seniors as well as the beneficiaries of disability allowance, Minimum Guaranteed Income.
Again according to the same sources, the income and asset criteria will again be the same, i.e. pensioners who will receive the third accuracy check must cumulatively satisfy three criteria: Have an annual individual taxable income of up to 9,600 euros (800 euros monthly and annual family taxable income up to 16,800 euros) while the total taxable value of the real estate should not exceed the amount of 300,000 euros.
