Payment of the PIS and Pasep bonus starts on the 15th; see who will receive

by

The 2023 PIS and Pasep salary bonus begins to be paid on February 15, with monthly installments until July 17. The allowance ranges from R$109 to R$1,302, depending on the number of months worked in 2021.

On February 15, Caixa will pay the PIS allowance for workers born in January and February and Banco do Brasil will deposit the Pasep allowance for those who have a zero-end enrollment in the program.

About 23.6 million workers should receive the salary bonus in 2023 and the total amount reserved is R$ 24.4 billion, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

In the Digital Work Card application, right on the home page, the system informs that the salary allowance consultation will be available from February 5th. The query will show value, date and bank of receipt for who is entitled. Another channel planned to check whether you will receive the allowance is the gov.br portal.

How will the bank be paid?

Those who have a checking or savings account at Caixa will receive the credit automatically in their bank account, according to the payment schedule.

According to Caixa, the other beneficiaries will receive the amounts through digital social savings, also according to the month of birth. The money deposited in the digital savings can be moved through the Caixa Tem app, which allows you to pay bills, use the QR Code at the machines and make purchases with the virtual debit card.

If it is not possible to open a digital account, withdrawals can be made using the Social Card and password at self-service terminals, lottery shops, Caixa Aqui correspondents or at Caixa branches.

Banco do Brasil customers who have paid a Pasep bonus released by the Ministry of Labor and Employment will receive it directly in their checking or savings account at BB, on the payment start date established in the calendar. According to the bank, the query to find out whether you will receive the allowance will also be released on the Banco do Brasil page on the internet and in the branch network.

  • Be registered in the PIS/Pasep program or in the Cnis (date of first job) for at least five years;
  • Have worked for employers that contribute to PIS or Pasep;

  • workers employed by individuals equivalent to legal entities

Amount of PIS allowance paid in 2023

The amount of the allowance is calculated considering 1/12 of the minimum wage multiplied by the number of months worked in the corresponding year. In 2023, if the beneficiary worked throughout the reference year, he will receive a minimum wage, R$ 1,302. If you worked six months in 2021, you will receive half, R$ 651.

Allowance is different from the PIS quota

It is important not to confuse salary bonus with PIS quota. The quota is intended for workers who had a formal contract in the period from 1971 to October 4, 1988 and can be withdrawn by the beneficiary or his heirs and successors, if applicable.
