Panel SA: With relief in the pandemic, road traffic in São Paulo rises 11% in January, says Sem Parar

by

Traffic on São Paulo roads rose 11% in January this year compared to the same month last year, according to a survey by Sem Parar.

In Brazil as a whole, the increase was 9% in the circulation of cars over the month on the same basis of comparison.

Sem Parar attributes the advance of the toll movement to the evolution in the pandemic scenario, which still presented worrying numbers at the beginning of last year with the arrival of the omicron variant, discouraging travel. Now, according to the company, the movement has returned to normal levels.

The company’s monitoring is done through the payments registered by the vehicles.
