While the new government begins the debate on the labor regulation of app delivery people, the representation of companies that defend their interests in the matter is also moving.
This Wednesday (8), the delivery service company Lalamove left the MID (Digital Innovation Movement), an association that brings together more than 170 companies, such as Rappi, 99, Loggi, Zé Delivery, Quinto Andar, Memed, OLX, Mercado Pago , Gympass, Flixbus, Getninjas, Dr. Consultation and others.
The departure of Lalamove takes place shortly after the MID presented to the Ministry of Labor, on Tuesday (7), a proposal for modeling a public policy for couriers, with the suggestion of creating a database to gather information about workers.
Contacted by Panel SA, Lalamove and MID declined to comment on the departure.
This Wednesday (8), Vitor Magnani, president of the MID, said that the first step is for the government to listen to couriers and drivers who are on the streets working. “We believe that we will manage to build a regulation that serves workers by application, government and companies. We start from democratic dialogue, something that we constantly need to emphasize as the only way out to have efficient public policies. And this government is the hope that we have to resume this premise in Brazil,” said Magnani.
