Carnival interrupts payment of Aid Brazil and Aid Gas

This Monday (13), Caixa Econômica Federal will start paying the Brazil Aid and the Gas Aid. The first has a minimum value of BRL 600 and the second, released every two months, will be BRL 112 in February, slightly above the average price of the cylinder, calculated at BRL 110 by the ANP (Agencia Nacional de Petróleo, Gas Natural and Biofuels).

The benefit payment schedule will be interrupted because of Carnival. There will be four days without deposits: Saturday (18), Sunday (19), Monday (20) and Tuesday (21). The release of values ​​will resume on Ash Wednesday after noon.

In all, this month, 21.86 million families will receive the Auxílio Brasil, which will once again be called Bolsa Família, and 5.95 million will receive the Auxílio Gás. The government should invest R$13.2 billion and R$667.2 million, respectively, in the two programs.

Families will receive up to BRL 712

Part of the families will receive both benefits this month, totaling R$712 passed on by the federal government. To be entitled to benefits, you must be enrolled in CadÚnico and comply with the rules determined by the federal government.

The registration, however, must undergo a revision, with cuts. Estimates by Wellington Dias, Minister of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger, are that at least 2.5 million registrations may be irregular.

WHO IS RIGHT TO BRAZIL AID

Citizens who are part of families:

  1. In extreme poverty, with income of up to R$ 105 per person in the family (per capita)
  2. In poverty, with income between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210 per person in the family (per capita)
  3. Under the emancipation rule, when the beneficiary gains a formal job, but remains entitled to receive the benefit if the income per person in the family is up to R$ 525

WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE THE GAS AID

Families enrolled in the CadÚnico with monthly per capita family income (per person in the family) less than or equal to half the minimum wage (R$ 651 this year). Families with members in the BPC (Continued Provision Benefit) will also benefit. The amount received from Auxílio Brasil will not count in the analysis of the family income criterion.

Women heads of households have priority to receive the benefit, as well as women victims of violence. For this, an agreement was made with the CNJ (National Council of Justice).

How is the payment done

Payment is made with the benefit card, through Caixa savings, or through digital social savings, handled by Caixa Tem. In this case, it is possible to make purchases and pay bills with the mobile application.

The beneficiary can also transfer the amounts to another account or withdraw part of the money, generating a code. Withdrawals are made using the benefit code or card at Caixa branches, ATMs, lottery shops and Caixa Aqui correspondents.

Auxílio Brasil will once again be called Bolsa Família and will start paying R$150 per child up to six years of age who is in school as of March. In addition, according to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) it will be required that children’s vaccination records are up to date. For pregnant women, full prenatal care is required.
