Greek exports are on an upward trajectory that breaks every record. According to the data of the Association of Exporters in January 2023 there was an increase of 30.2% compared to January of the previous year during which exports once again held the scepter of the country’s development path. It has been estimated that for every 4 units of increase in exports, there is an increase of 1 unit in GDP, about 2 billion more in the coffers of the country.

As reported on the radio of APE-MBE “Agency FM 104.9”, the president of the Association of Exporters, Simeon Diamantidis, “80% of exports in our country are made by 20% of Greek companies”. And this, because as Mr. Diamantidis explained, it is also necessary for “small and medium-sized enterprises to acquire extroversion”. He predicted, in fact, that “if this happens then in 2030 the Greek economy will explode”.

According to the president of the Exporters Association, small and medium enterprises need support either with subsidies through programs for exhibitions abroad, which was done before the pandemic, or through foreign platforms, so that their products can reach consumers directly using the various logistic centers that exist per country.

As Mr. Diamantidis clarifies, the representatives of large businesses in Greece are “racing” to take part in international exhibitions and as a result they are successful.

Today, the first 30 marks for Macedonian products, which will be given to businesses, are formally approved by the board of directors of the Exporters Association.

The signal Macedonia the Great which the Association of Exporters has secured internationally will bring all products and services produced in Macedonia and exported.

“We give this badge to our member businesses for free. We have taken it upon ourselves to advertise it so that when consumers see it abroad they understand that it is a Greek product which also complies with all EU standards”, said Mr. Diamantidis.
