Searches for the expression “Covid test” on the internet this week reached the highest level since May 2021, according to measurements from Google Trends. In the last seven days, searches grew 70% compared to the previous period.
Right after the holiday season, on Monday (3), interest in the subject jumped 75% over the previous day.
The phrase related to the subject that grew the most in the last 24 hours was “I tested positive for covid and now”, with an increase of 480%. Then appear “covid and influenza test” (350%) and “covid pharmacy value test” (325%).
Brazilians also researched more about “flurona”, which is the coinfection by Covid and Influenza, and placed tests, vaccines, symptoms and the situation of the pandemic in Brazil among the main topics of interest in the period.
Google also points to a skyrocketing search for the word ihu, as a new strain announced by French researchers was named.
