DYPA’s active employment policies set a historical record with the creation of 6,814 new jobs in March, an increase of 250% year-on-year (1,940) and 210% compared to March 2021 (2,197).

The absorption of DYPA’s work subsidy, professional experience and new entrepreneurship programs last month is the best monthly performance historically.

The previous best performance was in October 2020 with 6,294 hires.

DYPA implements the following “open” programs with 36,051 subsidized jobs:

  1. Program of 3,400 new jobs in the lignite areas, lasting 12-18 months, with a 75-100% salary and contribution subsidy rate, up to €16,794.
  2. Work experience acquisition program of 3,000 positions in lignite areas, lasting 7 months, with a 100% salary and contribution subsidy rate.
  3. Employment program for 10,000 long-term unemployed aged 45 and over, lasting 18 months, with an 80% wage and contribution subsidy rate, up to €13,709.
  4. Employment program for 10,000 unemployed people who face significant obstacles in their reintegration into the labor market, lasting 12-24 months, with a 75% wage and contribution subsidy rate, up to €16,800.
  5. Employment program for 6,500 long-term unemployed 55-67 year olds, lasting 24 months, with a 75% wage and contribution subsidy rate, up to €18,000.
  6. Employment program for 3,000 unemployed people aged 56 and over who completed the 12-month long-term unemployed, aged 55-67, employment program with a grant of €8,580.
  7. New entrepreneurship programs for unemployed people aged 20-44 who belong to marginalized social groups such as the Roma, within the framework of the Operational Programs “South Aegean”, “Epirus”, “Main Greece” and “Peloponnese” of the 2014 Programming Period
