At slightly higher levels closed the stock market in today’s session, as the initial gains were significantly reduced towards the end of trading.

The market closed positively for the fifth consecutive session, during which the main stock market index recorded total gains of 4.48%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,069.32 points, marking an increase of 0.10%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,079.82 units (+1.08%).

The value of transactions amounted to 86.62 million euros, while 30,041,078 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.19%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.29%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (+1.94%), Mytileneos (+1.80%), Motor Oil (+1.49%), Piraeus (+1. 32%) and National (+0.81%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Elvalhalcor (-2.59%), Lamda Development (-2.07%), PPC (-1.99%), GEK TERNA (-1.64%) and of Saranti (-1.45%).

Of the individual indices, the Health (+3.33%) and Industrial Products (+1.54%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Raw Materials indices (-1.53%) and of Real Estate (-1.48%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 7,919,794 and 7,287,654 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 10.81 million euros and Alpha Bank with 9.40 million euros.

50 stocks moved up, 57 fell and 17 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Ekter +11.86% and Progressive +6.00%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Sato -8.57% and CPI -5.67%.
