The European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) announces the publication of new calls for proposals for grants to co-finance communication actions aimed at mobilizing citizens ahead of the 2024 European elections and better understanding the role of the European Parliament in democracy. Non-profit organizations in the Member States can submit proposals in two rounds, with closing dates on 16 May and 29 September 2023 respectively.
The objectives of the actions financed under this call are:
- Raising awareness among European citizens from a wide range of the role and democratic values ​​of the EU, enhancing understanding of the role of the European Parliament and how the EP affects our daily lives and the reasons why it is important to participate with your vote in the upcoming European elections of 2024, and within the together.eu community.
- Promoting increased participation of European citizens and organizations from as diverse groups as possible, thereby encouraging active participation, with an emphasis on citizen mobilization in the run-up to the European elections, and within the together.eu community.
This call for proposals foresees two application rounds with the following deadlines:
First round: applicants can submit a proposal from 27 April 2023 to 16 May (18:00 Greek time).
Second round: applicants can submit a proposal from 17 May to 28 September 2023 (18:00 Greek time).
Applicants may submit one proposal in both rounds, but may receive only one grant under this call for proposals.
