Trading was carried out in a subdued atmosphere at today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market closing marginally lower, amid limited trading activity.

The shares of Viohalco, Elvalhalcor and OPAP were closed from the high capitalization with high profits.

Goldman Sachs expects a further improvement in the profitability and supervisory capital of Greek banks, seeing a continuation of the rise in their shares, with Alpha Bank leading the way with a 43% increase margin and Ethniki, Piraeus and Eurobank following with 29%, 25% and 15% respectively.

The General Price Index closed at 1,096.01 points, registering a marginal drop of 0.04%.

Intra-sessionally it moved in a narrow range of 5.62 points It recorded a higher price at 1,098.65 points (+0.20%) and a lower price at 1,093.03 points (-0.31%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 58.27 million euros, while 12,685,326 shares were traded.

The large-cap index was down marginally at 0.04%, while the mid-cap index was up 1.34%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Viohalco (+7.94%), Elvalhalcor (+3.91%), OPAP (+2.10%) and Ethniki (+1.30 %).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of EYDAP (-5.88%), Terna Energy (-1.67%), Alpha Bank (-1.27%) and Eurobnak (-1.27%).

Of the individual indices, the largest gains were recorded by the indices , while the largest losses were recorded by the indices

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Alpha Bank, trading 2,304,092 and 2,121,345 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by OTE with 17.84 million euros and Piraeus with 4.98 million euros.

56 stocks moved up, 45 down and 18 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Tria ‘Alfa(k) +14.12% and Frigoglass +9.01%

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Mermeren -25.05% and MIG -8.94%.
