The internationally renowned multi-award winning Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, who signs its design Riviera Galleria, welcomed LAMDA Development to the great project of Hellinikon, for the third time in a year.

As stated in a related announcement, during his visit, Kengo Kuma together with the head of his office for the project, Ari Kafantari, monitored and supervised the development of the design, the progress of studies and the selection of materials, the a combination of which will highlight the high aesthetics of the complex and will harmoniously connect the Riviera Galleria with the coastal landscape.

The meeting was attended by Ioannis Ventourakis, head of the BETAPLAN team, the Greek architectural office that has undertaken the completion of the study, as well as the Liberty Decothe award-winning lighting designer who together with her team have undertaken the project’s lighting study.

The Riviera Galleria, with its impressive undulating canopy, inspired by the sails of sailboats, will have an area of ​​23,000 sq.m. As described in the relevant announcement, simple lines, open green spaces, harmonization with the natural coastal environment, elements and materials from the Greek landscape in absolute balance with modern design influences, are the characteristics of the new commercial and entertainment destination that will become one of the more organized premium fashion markets and a worldwide culinary destination. The construction works for the Riviera Galleria, which will be located in front of the marina of Ag. Cosmas, which is being upgraded by LAMDA, will launch in 2023.

On his visit to Elliniko and the progress of work on Riviera Galleria, Kengo Kuma said: “Riviera Galleria is very close to the sea and this creates a harmony with nature, which is very important for this project. The facade we are designing, we want to reflect our philosophy both for the project, but also for the architecture of the future.”
