Panel SA: Unionists pressure banks to expand home office

by

Banking unions, which in recent days have been protesting for more protection for the health of employees at this stage of the pandemic, are preparing new moves for next week. The idea is to ask for an increase in the return to the home office.

The National Banking Command says it has scheduled a virtual meeting for Tuesday (18) with Fenaban (National Federation of Banks) to discuss the adoption of preventive measures in the face of the increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 and Influenza in the sector. .

Bankers claim that some institutions have relaxed protective measures. Banks deny it. The Banking and Finance Workers Union of São Paulo, Osasco and Region recorded 500 cases of Covid this week until Thursday (13).

Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks) denies the unions’ claim that there was relaxation in the protocols adopted and says that companies maintain the rigor of health measures.

“We continue to dialogue with the unions about all stages of the evolution of the pandemic”, says the entity in a note.
