PAE Atromitos announces the acquisition of Giorgos Tzovaras with a transfer from Niki Volou, with our new football player signing a contract for the next 2.5 years.
Giorgos Tzovaras is 22 years old (3/11/99), he plays as a left full back and is directly part of Chris Coleman’s training and plans, being the second addition for this January.
He started his career from Kala Nera Volou and SA. 2002 and 2015 took the big step to join PAOK Academies. In the club of Thessaloniki he was a regular member of the small teams and at the same time he was a member of the National Team of Children, Youth and Hope.
In 2019 he left with a transfer to Slovan Bratislava and from there he left a year later to join Apollon Larissa. In April 2021 he returned to Volos for the Victory of Volos, with which he made 26 appearances.
After the completion of the agreement, George Tzovaras who chose and got the number “11”, made his first statements to atromitosfc.gr:
“Atromitos is a very important step for me. I am very happy. I want to say a big thank you to those who believed in me and made the decision to bring me to Atromitos. However, for me now the very hard work begins. I will try to improve day by day to justify the team for its selection and I want to put my own stone in the effort for this season.
The experiences I have gone through even though I am only 22 years old. They have all helped me. And my move abroad, but also my presence in PAOK, even in recent years in Apollon and Niki Volou. I walk with these experiences, I keep the positive moments and through them I feel ready for Atromitos “.
Giorgos Tzovaras started his career as a left winger, but now he has established himself as a full back left and spoke about the history of his change of position: “We made this decision when I was still in Slovan Bratislava. According to my data, the coaches saw that I can cope even better as a full back, seeing my speed and my ability in transfers. I think that this position really suits me better and now I am glad that I will give my best for Atromitos “.
