The General Price Index closed at 1,263.38 points, marking an increase of 0.14%.
With small rise closed the stock prices at today’s meeting Stock Exchangeas they failed to maintain their significant initial gains until the close.
However, the market completed six consecutive bullish sessions during which the main stock market index registered a total gain of 4.49%.
Morgan Stanley maintains its preference for Greek banks, from the emerging market area, despite their strong outperformance, and “sees” further rally in banking stocks.
Increases the target price for Piraeus to 4.04 euros (from 2.61 euros), for Eurobank to 2.10 euros (from 1.55 euros), for Alpha Bank to 1.98 euros (from 1, 44 euros) and for the national team at 7.05 euros (from 5.25 euros).
The General Price Index closed at 1,263.38 points, marking an increase of 0.14%. It is the highest close since the June 23, 2014 session (1,270.38 points).
Intra-sessionally it moved above the levels of 1,270 points and recorded a higher price at 1,273.51 points (+0.94%).
The value of the transactions amounted to 131.43 million euros, while 40,150,704 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.29%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.18%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Lamda Development (+2.44%), Eurobank (+1.86%), OTE (+1.71%), Elvalhalcor (+1, 44%) and Autohellas (+1.40%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Ellaktor (-2.15%), GEK TERNA (-1.70%), Terna Energy (-1.36%) and Jumbo (-1.05%).
Of the individual indices, the greatest increase was recorded by the indices of Real Estate (+1.92%), Insurance (+1.88%) and Telecommunications (+1.70%), while the indices of Financial Services (-1.41%) and Personal Products (-0.80%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 14,749,868 and 6,571,641 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 23.47 million euros and Piraeus with 16.52 million euros.
68 stocks moved up, 45 down and 18 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Nafpaktos Textiles +12.00% and Unibios +11.17%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Foodlink -9.40% and Flexopack -3.98%.
