Stock prices closed with a slight increase in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market appearing strong and absorbing the liquidations that took place to secure profits. The market filled up seven consecutive bull sessionsduring which the main stock index recording total gains of 4.73%.

The General Price Index closed today at 1,266.31 points, marking an increase of 0.23%. It is the highest close since the June 23, 2014 session (1,270.38 points).

Intra-sessionally, it fell to 1,257.21 points (-0.49%).

The value of the transactions fluctuated at lower levels compared to the previous meetings and amounted to 96.21 million euros, while 20,804,096 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.24%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.64%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (+1.73%), Mytileneos (+1.29%), PPA (+1.10%), Ellactor (+0.88 %) and EYDAP (+0.87%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-1.795), Lamda development (-0.82%), Quest Participations (-0.81%) and Alpha Bank (-0.57%).

Of the individual indices, the biggest increase was recorded by the indices of Insurance (+2.37%) and Industrial Products (+1.23%), while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Trade (-1.50%) and Health (-0.83%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 5,568,799 and 3,627,508 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Jumbo with 13.85 million euros and Piraeus with 10.85 million euros.

56 stocks moved up, 44 down and 27 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Domiki Kritis +10.71% and Vioter +9.90%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Eliketos -6.12% and Motodynamics -5.69%.
