The National Immigration Council, an agency of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, released this Monday (24) the granting of temporary visas and residence permits for the so-called digital nomads.
They fit to the extent that immigrants are able to work remotely, in Brazil, for foreign employers.
The period of residence of the immigrant with a temporary visa has an initial duration of up to one year, with the possibility of renewal for the same period, according to the document.
In order to prove their digital nomad status, the immigrant must attest to the ability to carry out their professional activities remotely, present a work contract and have a monthly income equal to or greater than US$ 1,500 (approximately R$ 8,200) or a reserve of at least US$ 18 thousand (R$ 99 thousand).
