Dozens of shops were closed for two days and are required to pay significant fines, following the raids of the auditors of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, in the context of the operation, POS in the Aegean.
This is an action, which was carried out in coordination over the last two weeks and utilizes the results of electronic crossings from the tools available to AADE, and which lead to targeted on-site checks in catering businesses, in popular tourist destinations in Greece.
How intersections work
The auditors use the intersection data from the e-send and my data platforms, combined with the transaction data from the POS.
Through this process, they identified businesses with violations of non-issuance and non-transmission of tax information, which led to 48-hour lockouts, heavy fines and further tax scrutiny.

The case of a fish restaurant is typical, which, in the first half of the year, did not send 181 receipts to AADE, with a total value of 101,000 euros.
In Rhodes, 9 catering businesses, with 18,951 violations, with a total value of 236,000 euros.
Typical is the case of a restaurant, which, within 45 days, did not forward 6,529 receipts to AADE, with a total value of 80,000 euros.
In Santorini, 8 catering businesses, with 7,574 violations, with a total value of 260,000 euros.
The case of a restaurant-café stands out, which, within three months, did not forward 6,092 receipts to AADE, with a total value of 225,000 euros.
In Mykonos, 5 businesses, with 254 violations, with a total value of 230,000 euros.
Among other things, a coffee bar, within a month, did not issue receipts, with a total value of 105,055.13 euros.
In Ios, 8 catering businesses, with 7,574 violations, with a total value of 292,000 euros.
A company stands out, which, from the beginning of the year until the fifteenth of August, did not forward 6,092 receipts to AADE, with a total value of 225,000 euros.
In Andros, 5 catering businesses, with 1,199 violations, with a total value of 145,000 euros.
The case of a company is typical, which, from July 19 to August 10, did not transmit to AADE 19 receipts, with a total value of 18,000 euros, and did not issue 198 receipts, with a total value of 14,000 euros.
