How to consult the INSS retirement extract with readjustment

by

The more than 36 million beneficiaries who receive pensions, death benefits, allowances and other benefits from the INSS (National Social Security Institute) can consult the January payment statement, which shows the value of social security income with the annual adjustment. The INSS reported that it has completed the release of January pay statements for all active benefits.

The extract is consulted by Meu INSS, a system that requires prior registration for those who do not yet have a registered password. The consultation is important for the beneficiary to verify the discounts made and if there are any undue charges. The statement informs how much will be paid in Income Tax, for those who are not exempt, in addition to amounts of active consigned loan installments and payments to associations, if any.

HOW TO CONSULT YOUR PAYMENT STATEMENT

  • Access the website www.meu.inss.gov.br or the official Meu INSS mobile app
  • Enter your CPF number and password
  • If it’s your first time, you’ll need to register and answer a few questions about your contribution history
  • On the home screen, in the center, after clicking on the icon with an eye, the system will inform the benefit number, competence, amount and payment forecast
  • The new extract refers to the competence of January 2022. Click on “Detail”
  • Select the benefit that is active and, on the next screen, go to “Payment Statement”
  • Click on competency 01/2022. This line already shows the amount to be received (with discounts, if any) and the payment date

UNDERSTAND THE EXTRACT

  • Total value of mr for the period: It is the value of the gross benefit, with the annual adjustment, before discounts
  • bank loan consignment (if there is): discount on payroll loans that the insured has in progress
  • Rebate for beneficiary over 65 years of age: Retirees and pensioners from 65 years of age have an extra quota of exemption from Income Tax on the benefit amount, that is, they pay less IR
  • Withholding income tax: IR discount, if any
  • The INSS also informs the bank and the payment agency

payment dates

The deposits of benefits with the new minimum wage of R$ 1,212 began to be made this Tuesday (25th) and will continue until February 7th. The minimum wage in force in 2022 is the new minimum amount paid by the INSS to retirees, pensioners, beneficiaries of sick pay and the BPC (Continued Benefit Benefit). That is, the INSS increases benefits from R$1,100 in 2021 to R$1,212 in 2022.

Benefits above the floor will be paid between February 1st and 7th, with an annual adjustment of 10.16%, which corresponds to inflation measured in 2021 by the INPC (National Consumer Price Index). See the calendar below.
