PPC joined CSR Europe, the leading European business network for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibilityreinforcing its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

By joining CSR Europe, PPC utilizes the network and resources of the European network to consolidate its leadership in sustainability practices and identify opportunities for collaborations that could advance its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the creation of shared benefit for society, the planet and the economy.

In the context of its inclusion in CSR Europe, PPC participated for the first time in the annual conference and the General Assembly of the organization’s plenary, with a central message “A Caucus to Forge Alliances for Just Transition”.

CSR Europe is the leading European business network for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility. With its corporate members, National Partner Organizations (NPOs) and Affiliate Partners, it unites, inspires and supports businesses at local, European and global level. The aim of CSR Europe is, following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to build together with European leaders and stakeholders a general strategy for Sustainable Europe 2030.

PPC: Sustainable clean energy company

Sustainability and corporate responsibility are a central element of PPC’s business activity. Its sustainability commitments include the decommissioning of lignite-fired power plants, land reclamation in lignite mines, promoting energy efficiency and reduced consumption, as well as promoting the efficient and responsible use of natural capital and the protection of biodiversity. At the same time, PPC is increasing investments in renewable energy sources – with approximately 670 MW of installed RES capacity in operation/construction completion and with plans to exceed 5 GW. PPC has already achieved a 36% reduction in COâ‚‚ emissions in 2022 (Scope 1 category with base year in 2019).
