Share prices recovered in today’s sessionwhich was characterized by high volatility.

The market bounced back from yesterday’s sharp decline to close in positive territory after four bearish sessions, during which the main stock index recorded a total loss of 3.87%.

The shares of OPAP, Aegean and Motor Oil outperformed from the high capitalization.

The General Price Index closed at 1,276.52 points, up 0.73%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,260.12 points (-0.57%) and a higher price at 1,281.57 points (+1.12%).

The value of transactions amounted to 107.61 million euros, while 27,541,741 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.83%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.25%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+4.99%), Aegean (+3.65%), Motor Oil (+3.35%), Quest Participations (+1 .93%) and Eurobank (+1.59%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of EYDAP (-1.22%), Jumbo (-1.04%) and OTE (-0.51%).

Of the individual indices, the Health (+4.86%), Travel (+4.81%) and Oil (+245%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Personal Products indices ( -0.86%) and Telecommunications (-0.49%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 7,813,280 and 5,558,974 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 15.34 million euros and OPAP with 11.95%.

53 stocks moved up, 50 fell and 18 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Fieratex +8.48% and Revoil +6.77%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Mermeren -8.71% and Frigoglass -5.92%.
