The reduction of labor taxation, a new framework for labor relations, the increase in the participation of women, young people and the recently retired in the labor market and brain gain, are the proposals highlighted tonight by the president of the BSE, Dimitris Papalexopoulos, to deal with of the lack of workers, in the context of a discussion with the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Mr. Papalexopoulos mentioned that the middle managers are the great wrongdoers of the tax system, he added, however, that in addition to managers, there is a lack of workers in general.
Referring to energy costs, he pointed out that Greece can be one of the winners from the energy transition and become self-sufficient or even an energy exporter, but until then it will face major challenges of high energy costs. The president of SEV presented 4 proposals for the energy sector which are:
– Accelerating investments in energy infrastructure.
– More generous support for investments in the green transition.
– Ensuring a well-functioning and interconnected energy market.
– Ensuring competitive energy costs especially for energy-intensive businesses.
He noted the need to speed up the administration of justice and deal with bureaucracy, not only Greek, but also European, by simplifying procedures before they are legislated, abolishing procedures when new ones are adopted, reducing by 25% reports to the public administration and reducing polynomialism.
