A new digital application, which significantly facilitates citizens’ transactions, saving them significant time in their daily lives, is being introduced by the Independent Public Revenue Authority as of today, as around 200,000 visits to DOUs are avoided each year.

Now, by a joint decision of the Deputy Minister of Finance, Haris Theocharis, and the Governor of AADE, Giorgos Pitsilis, taxpayers can digitally receive the evidence necessary for their transactions, without having to visit the DOU, when:

• For its issuance, it is required that part of their settled debts be withheld from the amount to be collected.

• It is issued for any legal use and there are debts in suspension of collection.

• It is issued for the collection of money with existing overdue debts in suspension of collection and the total amount collected is withheld, up to the amount of the total certified debts of the applicant.

• It is issued for the transfer of real estate or the creation of a real right over it due to compelling reasons, with an amount deducted from the settled debts.

It is extremely important that it is now significantly easier to issue a notification for the transfer of real estate when there are overdue debts, as in addition to the amount of the overdue debts, the issuance of the notification is also linked to the amount of taxes paid by the taxpayer each year. Thus, even if the arrears exceed the prescribed limits, the awareness is granted if the taxpayer annually pays up to 120% of the arrears, as a result of which there is certainty that it is a consistent taxpayer.

In addition, for the security, validity and identification of transactions, the content of the application in the digital application and the type of the Proof of Awareness are changed, with the addition of fields such as:

• The QR Code, to check the authenticity of the proof of awareness.

• The Unique Registration Number (MARK) in myDATA of the document whose collection is sought.

• The ATAK of the property, for the transfer of which the evidentiary notice is issued
