Strong upward trends prevailed in today’s session Stock Exchangewith the market exceeding the levels of 1,190 units and “seeing” towards 1,200 units.

The protagonist of today’s session was the share of Alpha Bank, after the agreement with the Unicredit. Alpha Bank shares returned to trading today following the clarifications provided by the HFSF regarding the terms of its divestment process.

The share price recorded high gains of 12.44%, while 19,409,235 shares were traded, worth 26.96 million euros

O General Price Index closed at 1,196.56 unitsup 1.95%.

The value of transactions amounted to 113.53 million euros, while 34,812,318 shares were traded.

The large-cap index gained 2.51%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.85%.

Of the high capitalization shares, apart from Alpha Bank, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Aegean Airlines (+4.16%), Elvalhalcor (+3.09%), Ethniki (+2.93%), Sarantis (+2.93%), Viohalco (+2.83%) and Mytileneos (+2.73%).

On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of GEK TERNA (-1.36%), Autohellas (-1.09%) and OTE (-0.91%).

Of the individual indices, the Banks (+4.43%) and Raw Materials (+2.63%) indices recorded the largest increase, while the Telecommunications (-0.90%) and Construction (-0.19%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Ethniki, trading 19,409,235 and 3,341,995 shares, respectively.

Alpha Bank recorded the highest transaction value with 26.96 million euros and National Bank with 18.68 million euros.

91 stocks moved up, 23 fell and 7 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Alpha Bank +12.44% and ANEK +9.68%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Nakas -5.59% and CPI -4.84%.
