Panel SA: Lula declines invitation from BTG to speak to the financial market

Former President Lula declined the invitation made by BTG Pactual to speak at the CEO Conference Brasil 2022, an eventual annual of André Esteves’ bank that will bring together other pre-candidates for the Presidency.

According to BTG, the presences of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and Governor João Doria (PSDB), in addition to Ciro Gomes (PDT) and Sergio Moro (Podemos), are already confirmed.

The event, which will be online, is scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of February.

Lula’s refusal generates anxiety in the financial market, which is awaiting the ex-president’s signals for the direction of the economy in a possible new PT administration.

Faced with the resistance of Lula’s leadership in the electoral polls, a movement in the business community to envision what his government would be begins to define.

The former president has already stated that he has businessmen on his side, a segment of society that is seen as refractory to his candidacy.
