New reduction in insurance contributions for businesses from January 1, 2025, said the Minister of Finance – “The situation is escalating, even in the current”, he commented on the accuracy
The Minister of Finance referred to the increase in the minimum wage, the accuracy and the further reduction of insurance contributions for businesses, Kostis Hatzidakiswho gave an interview in the main bulletin of SKAI and in Sia Kosionis.
“It was a difficult decision, because the needs of the employees must be taken into account, but also the businesses must endure. We have exhausted the possibilities in terms of endurance of the economy. The increase outpaces inflation until the end of the year. Overall from 2019, the increase in the minimum wage is 11-12 points above inflation”said Mr. Hatzidakis.
“We have reduced business insurance contributions by 4.6 points since 2019 and will further reduce from January 1, 2025”added the finance minister.
Referring to the accuracy and problems faced by the householdsemphasized: “Everyone agrees across Europe that the worst is behind us. Inflation persists in Greece. However, the situation is escalating, even upstream.’
