Panel SA: Ricardo Salles threatens to sue Instagram for restricting its publication on the social network

Instagram reacted to a post by former Environment Minister Ricardo Salles in recent days.

Then, he took to Twitter to complain about the measure of the social network, which he called left. He also said that he would sue the platform “to give up being a beast”.

Salles wrote that the post targeted by the restriction referred to Bolsonaro’s visit to Putin in Moscow last week.

He made a series of publications on the subject attributing to Bolsonaro an alleged power to make Putin give up attacking Ukraine. Then he said it was just a joke.

“Instagram blocked the reach of my account, right after the absurdity of classifying the irony of Bolsonaro’s meme with Putin as ‘false information'”, wrote the president’s supporter.

Under Instagram’s policies, when a fact-checker rates a post as fake, the platform reduces distribution of the content and puts a label warning people who try to share it.
