Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said again this Tuesday (22) that he intends to review the labor reform that was approved during the Michel Temer government to recover rights that were extinct.
In an interview with radio Passos, in Minas Gerais, Lula commented that it is necessary to bring unions, businessmen and the government together to study changes that lead to labor legislation that is adequate for the current moment, but that it is necessary to guarantee rights and social security, citing the case of application drivers.
“We don’t want to do anything by force, but we want to discuss what is good for Brazil,” he said.
The former president, likely candidate in this year’s elections and who appears in first place in the polls, once again criticized the proposal to privatize state-owned companies, especially Eletrobras, which had the process approved this month by the TCU (Court of Accounts of the Federal ).
“I want to make it very clear that I am against, the PT is against the privatization of state-owned companies,” he said. “There is no need to sell a company that can be the regulator of the electricity sector and prevent abusive price increases.”
