The inclusion of the energy upgrade of the building complex of the Florina Hospital in the “Just Development Transition 2021-2027” Program and in the “Energy Transition-Climate Neutrality” priority was announced by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.

The co-financed public expenditure of the project amounts to 2,986,561 euros and the specific intervention, whose decision to join is signed by the Commander of the Special Service for Just Development Transition, Mr. Pelopidas Kalliris, includes both energy inspections, the issuance of relevant energy certificates performance and the update – completion of the study as well as the technical works for the energy upgrade of the Florina General Hospital.

The implementation of the project, among other things, foresees: external thermal insulation of the masonry and roof, thermal insulation of pipes, replacement of frames, replacement of lamps with new LED technology, replacement of outdated and energy-consuming boilers, coolers, air conditioning units and medical air production systems with new high-performance ones, installation of new high-performance air conditioning units in hospital wards that currently do not exist, installation of solar systems, as well as installation of compensation systems in the heating networks and electronic control mechanisms.
